50 New Nesting Boxes for the Haiger Bird and Nature Conservation Association
HerkulesGroup Heart Project
Another HerkulesGroup heart project was successfully implemented this year: we supported the Haiger Bird and Nature Conservation Association with a donation of around €1,000.
As part of the project, 50 nesting boxes, manufactured in the Haiger rehabilitation workshop, a facility run by Lebenshilfe Dillenburg e.V., were handed over to the association. Around 120 nesting boxes in the region had previously been destroyed by deforestation and storms, causing many birds to lose their nesting sites. The association is now ensuring that native bird species once again have a safe place to nest and raise their young.
Our colleague Christoph Franz (3rd from left) submitted this project as part of the employee sponsorship program, making its implementation possible. Initiatives like this show that responsibility for environmental protection and nature conservation can also be demonstrated in small, practical steps.
We are delighted that this project allows us to make an important contribution to the preservation of native bird life while also supporting the work of dedicated associations in our region.
